TiaCorine

Winston-Salem · NC

Winston-Salem native TiaCorine grew up in a multicultural household — Japanese, African American, and Shoshone heritage — immersed in everything from hip-hop classics to pop and rock. She started performing in talent shows in fourth grade and later graduated top of her class from Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Her breakout single "Lotto" caught fire on radio and online, drawing the attention of then manager Marcel "Flip" Holmes and SCMG CEO Arnold Taylor, who signed her in late 2019, dropping her popular single "Freaky T." Since then, TiaCorine has established herself as one of the most dynamic and versatile voices on the SCMG roster.
